After the shooting range I decided it was about time to have a few new pictures of the two of us for Grandma's wall. So we asked Kenny and he was nice enough to take a few downtown Rexburg.

Just the Two of Us!!
After the shooting range I decided it was about time to have a few new pictures of the two of us for Grandma's wall. So we asked Kenny and he was nice enough to take a few downtown Rexburg.
Shooting Range
My new Springfield XD(M) .9mm
Our new hobby is going to the range with our friends when we have some free time, thank goodness this Saturday was open. Its been a while since I have spent a Saturday with my husband without the military interfering. We called up some friends and went out to shoot our toys. Guns were our obsession but now it is more Devin's obsession!

ROTC Military Ball 2009

Friday was our last ROTC military ball. It was sooo much fun! It started out with a lot of prep work getting ready followed by standing in the receiving line with the worlds most uncomfortable shoes. Devin was the President so we sat at the special table with Jeff as vice and Stephanie. When the ball got started I had a laugh attack that was almost unbearable, I was gnawing on my cheeks so that I would stop laughing. We were in the front of the room with all eyes on us, I didn't want to look like the immature little girl who just didn't know when to get serious. We had an excellent dinner- Prime Rib! It was so yummy. There was a guest speaker and then the fun began. The skits were flaming hilarious, its pretty entertaining when the cadets are up there making fun of your husband. I couldn't stop laughing. The infractions brought up were pretty hilarious too, especially when Bethany's husband called her a wench! That definitely deserved a trip to the grog! After the formal part we had a lot of dancing and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT!!! We were one of the last couples to leave. It was so fun.

Utah Trip and Update
So I figure its about time that I update everyone and actually use this thing! Last weekend was pretty much awesome! I was able to hang out with my cousin Megan before she leaves on her mission and to spend time with my brother and sis in law. The weekend started out interesting, we had a list of things to get done, we accomplished one thing and it was attending a reception of this girl that I didn't know. Very awkward situation but the food was good!

We were trying to do a session in the Salt Lake Temple but we could not seem to get there in time. We decided Monday would be the day so we got all ready to go, got to the temple to see the signs "Temple Closed" that was proceeded by a lot of laughter and annoyance! The rest of the day was quite similar but Megs and I did it together so it was fun and I enjoyed every second of it. Monday night I showed Brandon my handy dandy photo booth so I think everyone should see a glimpse of what happened next.Very entertaining. We were laughing hysterically! The dog was even included in the madness. I was there a total of 5 days and by the end was ready to see my husband. Megan and I stopped at Lexus to pick up some donuts and so I could say my goodbyes, then it was time to get our nails done and I was off. Back to the ice hole!

So quick update on everything in the past month... we found out we are getting stationed in Anchorage Alaska, Devin graduates April 10th and commissions as a 2nd Lieutenant, he leaves May 10th for training at Fort Benning Georgia, then he leaves July 5th for more training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland. And THEN... ALASKA in October! I cant wait to start the military life. The ROTC is consuming his life this month, he just had drill last weekend and then this weekend is military ball, next weekend is a battle-site visit, then lab, then drill, then GRADUATION!!! And then VACATION!!
